People have been voting for years now - you think the results would be out already, but no - they just keep voting!
Ok, so jokes aside...

Who is EasyVote?
Easyvote is a product offering from Premier Software who maintains and hosts the platform and have exclusive rights to the platform. This means if it is not EasyVote then it is not backed by Premier Software or the years of online voting experience the EasyVote team have.

What is easyvote all about?
Easyvote is an online election processing system that has matured over time and caters to the needs of anyone needing an election, online or offline:-

• Unions, corporates, clubs,
• Body corporates,committees, sports and book clubs,
• Councils, Associations, and Governing Bodies,
• Societies, Scout Groups, the list goes on...

How can we help?

• Free and fair elections
• Totally transparent results
• Multiple candidates means you can vote once in a comprehensive election
• Secure - you are given a username and password so no one needs to know how you voted!
• Convienent - Vote when you are available - the polling stations never close (except after the election, ofcourse)
• Cheap - No printing ballot costs, not costs for faxing votes, no travel or postage costs

How is an election run?
The election host provides contact details for everyone on the voters roll - at least a name and either an email address or mobile number. They also provide a list of candidates in the case of an election, or a set of options in the case of a referrendum.

You (assuming you are on the voters roll) get an email (and/or SMS) inviting you to vote. This includes the website address where you can vote and the login details needed for you to vote.

When you login your credentials are verified and you are given a look at the ballot. You click your option(s) and then click the vote button at the bottom of the ballot and your vote is cast!

As an optional service, you might be asked to confirm your details (emails and mobile number) and this is then given back to the host so they can update their records.

At intervals during the election reminder emails and/or SMS are sent to those who have not yet voted. Once you have voted you no longer get emails or SMS from EasyVote.

The election host has access to a leaderboard which gives up-to-the-minute results of how many people have voted and who is currently winning the election. They also get comprehensive reports at the end of the election.

Not everyone is online, can you still help me?
Yes we can still help you. EasyVote offers a variety of alternatives including

• a complete offline onsite election - just leave it to us
• SMS voting
• paper votes
• fax, postal, phone votes
• election register control

Of course all results are still auditable and totally transparent!

What does it cost?
Many factors influence the cost of the election - but it will always be cheaper and easier then a manual vote! Some of these factors include:-

• Number of candidates
• Number of voters
• Length of time the election is active
• Complexity of the election

As a rough guide, services tend to range between R 5.00 and R 10.00 per voter on the voter's roll.

How do I have my own election?
To host your own election, just contact us. As we mentioned there are a number of factors that influence the cost.

Who has used EasyVote?
Without wanting to list all our customers, perhaps we could just give a few examples:-

• The Actuarial Society have been using EasyVote for a number of years for both Student and Board member elections. So we have been around the block!
• Metropolitian Health used EasyVote to run their amalgamation referendum. This included a roadshow around the country and a mix of online, SMS, fax, and paper votes. So we can provide a wide range of services.
• EXSA - the exsabition society of South Africa used EasyVote for the election of award winners in a variety of categories for their annual gala awards evening. This includes a nominations phase and a customised scoring/rating system whereby voters rated their top three candidates in order. This means we can do nominations and provide a customised solution.
• Sasol pension fund used EasyVote for a full memberwide election and for their branch byelections. This means we can cater for a large number of voters (well into the tens of thousands) and also provide small elections (with only a few hundred voters).

Can you use our branding?
Yes, we can setup a special domain with a name chosen by you and then use your own corporate colours and images and customise it to your exact needs. With the help of the developer team at Premier Software we can do exactly what you need.

We have a very specialised way of doing things, can you still help me?
Yes we can still help you. If one of our existing packages do not meet your needs, we will develop the tools needed for your specific requirements. EasyVote is backed by Premier Software and as such we have a team of software developers waiting to assist you.

How safe is our data?
EasyVote does not keep your voter's information longer than is required to provide the service to you.

It goes without saying that we will not sell your information to anyone - we hate spam as much as anyone!
